Agricultural Education LDE
OVERVIEW
The purpose of the Agricultural Education Career Development Event is to provide individuals with basic
skills necessary for a career as an agricultural educator. Agriculture Education incorporates classroom and laboratory instruction,
supervised agricultural experiences (SAE), and the FFA to allow for the personal development of students
both inside and outside the classroom to better prepare them for success in life.
ELIGIBILITY
Each chapter may send one student in the junior division (9th grade) and one student in the senior division (10-12 grades). Five students from each division will advance to the state level. A finalist selection will take place in the event of 11 or more entries. Advisors will be notified shortly after registration closes if there will be an elimination round. All state finalists must bring at least one student, not competing in the Ag Ed LDE, to participate as the "student" in the demonstration.
EVENT LOCATION & TIME
This event will be held at the 100th annual Virginia FFA state convention, in June of 2026.
