Event Format

Single Participant

Compete at State Convention

Employment Skills


Participants in the Employment Skills LDE submit a resume, complete job applications, and participate in mock interviews and practicums with a panel of possible employers.











Event Location & Time

The State Employment Skills Event is held at the state convention in June.


One active FFA member in grades 7-12 may compete in the state event from each chapter.

Electronic Submission of Items Before Convention:

By June. 1 at 5 p.m. EST, participants will electronically submit the following in PDF format in SEPARATE files:


·        Job Description

·        Cover Letter

·        Resume

A penalty of 10 percent will be assessed for documents received after the June. 1 deadline. If document is not received by seven days after deadline, the participant may be subject to disqualification.
