Overview
Participants in the Employment Skills LDE submit a resume, complete job applications, and participate in mock interviews and practicums with a panel of possible employers.
Event Location & Time
The State Employment Skills Event is held at the state convention in June.
Eligibility
One active FFA member in grades 7-12 may compete in the state event from each chapter.
Electronic Submission of Items Before Convention:
By June 14th at 5:00 p.m. EST, participants will electronically submit the following in PDF format in SEPARATE files:
- Job Description
- Cover Letter
- Resume
- Application (attached in documents below)
A penalty of 10 percent will be assessed for documents received after the June 14th deadline. If document is not received by seven days after deadline, the participant may be subject to disqualification.
