Meats Evaluation & Technology


In the Meats Evaluation and Technology CDE, students develop the skills needed for careers in the meat animal industry. During the event, members evaluate beef carcasses for quality and yield grade; identify various meat cuts and place carcasses, and identify wholesale and/or retail cuts.

Event Date: February 23, 2018

Entries MUST be postmarked by February 6, 2018 in order to be received on time. Any entries postmarked February 7th – 15th will be charged a late entry fee of $15 per contestant. Entries postmarked any time after February 15th will not be accepted.
