The following are scholarships available to students who are Virginia FFA members. Each scholarship is unique in requirements, therefore please read all directions before considering which Scholarships to apply for.

WLC Scholarship

The Virginia FFA Alumni is pleased to offer scholarships to support Virginia FFA members to participate in the Washington Leadership Conference. Applications are due by May 1, 2010.

Charles G. Johnson Memorial Scholarship

Virginia Cattlemen's Foundation

The Virginia Cattlemen’s Foundation is pleased to announce they are currently accepting applications for the Agricultural Scholarship program.  The $1000 scholarships will be awarded to students who are pursuing a career in the animal or agricultural industry.  Applicants must also exhibit strong leadership, scholastic, and service characteristics. 

Scholarship applications are due by March 1, 2010.  More information about the scholarships plus forms can be obtained by calling the Virginia Cattlemen’s Association at 540/992-1009 or by going to www.vacattlemen.org and clicking on Virginia Cattlemen’s Foundation.

 

Scholarship Available for Women Involved in Agriculture

 Attention: Ladies
If you or your daughter is involved in agriculture, don’t miss this opportunity to apply a college scholarship.

American Agri-Women, a national coalition of farm, ranch, and agri-business women's organizations, offers two scholarships for women or their daughters involved in farm, ranch or agribusiness that plan to take courses related to ag leadership, communications, rural sociology or medicine. Applicants should also have knowledge of or work experience in agriculture and show an economic or financial need.

Each $500 scholarship is to be used for tuition. They are provided through the Daughters of American Agriculture Foundation, honoring pioneer women and encouraging present generations to continue ag development.

The Jean Ibendahl Scholarship is for high school graduates and women aged 18-23. The Sister Thomas More Bertels Scholarship is for women who are returning students in agriculture and are 24 years-old or older.

Applications for each scholarship are due post marked by June 1.
